Things to do while in the area
www.biggar-net.co.uk - there are 6 museums in Biggar well worth a visit in the Easter to September period and all in need of your support to avoid local and Scottish memorabilia being lost forever. Biggar itself is a clean, smart country town with a good selection of upmarket shops and a few cafes, just 15- 20 minutes drive South from Lanarkshire Hardwoods.

www.newlanark.org - New Lanark is a world heritage site mill village with enough to do to fill a day. Shops, cafes, exhibits of the old mill buildings & workers, interactive & otherwise, all done to a very high standard. Good for children too. Walks along the Clyde where you can view the famous Falls of Clyde which are spectacular, especially after heavy rain. About 15-20 minutes drive west from Lanarkshire Hardwoods.
