Machining & Cutting Service
If you supply a cutting list we may be able to provide a quote for the timber for your project, depending on current workload and stock available. Some busy times of year this facility may not be available. There are a number of options -

a) PAR - planed all round 4 sides (if square edged) and cut to length - an expensive option. Typically an order of P&T timber amounting to £75 will cost £100 PAR, with a turnaround of 1-2 weeks.

b) P&T - boards planed and thicknessed to your various thicknesses but left overlength and overwidth. You rip the boards down their length, dress the edges and cut to length. A much more economical option, often available immediately or within 7 days.

Finishing Supplies
We supply some basic stocks of wood finishing products such as:

Wax
Sanding Sealers
Friction Polish
Varnish
Water Stains
Finishing Papers
0000 Steel Wool

Technical Advice
Although not presently offering tuition or courses, Patrick is always happy to give brief free advice to woodworkers and home improvers who are Lanarkshire Hardwoods customers looking for constructional or design ideas. Having personally worked with all the woods being sold for so long, Patrick is in a unique position to be able to advise which timber would be most suited for your purpose.

Commissions taken for small & medium sized interior & exterior furniture including tables, beds, cabinets, chests, mirrors & fire surrounds. Designs are by PBF but may incorporate some of the client’s ideas. Waiting list is typically between 3 - 12 months, but please feel free to call and find out what the current waiting time is. If you need something in a hurry, why not buy the wood from us and make it yourself?

Discount Structure
10% off all sales of timber amounting to over £100 inc vat ; 15% off for amounts over £500 inc vat.

Payment Methods
Payment must be made for all goods at the point of sale as we do not offer credit accounts.

Cash - Cash is always welcome.

Cheques - We are happy to accept business cheques from existing business customers.
We will accept private cheques with a guarantee card - but we cannot release goods before payment has cleared.

Credit cards - although we do not currently offer on line ordering, we do take credit & debit cards at the premises - Switch/Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Visa Electron, Solo, JCB.

Delivery
We do not offer a delivery service as standard although occasionally Patrick will have time to make a local delivery for a charge if you cannot fit the goods in your own transport. The cost will be based on £35/hr plus fuel.

We are flexible about times and days you may wish to collect goods yourself.
